Ameliorating malnutrition and poverty

Our Mission Statement

DYAF is committed to the amelioration of malnutrition and poverty among children, women, the less privileged and disabled; and improving the quality of life of these people.

DYAF addresses the root cause of malnutrition and poverty and focuses on ameliorating the effect of these by working in partnership with donors to implement these values.

  • Support women to set up business of their choice.
  • Financial support for children, women in deprived settings, the less privileged and disabled in form of cash transfers. Financial support for children, women in deprived settings, the less privileged and disabled in form of cash transfers.
  • Dietary diversity, provision of food stuffs (bags of rice, beans, cooking oil etc) to households based on assessment of needs as integrated packages.
  • Training women on soft skills; baking, catering business, sowing, farming, fishponds etc., and helping them capital to set up.
  • Provide scholarship to children from the less privileged settings.
  • Support the disabled in the society (wheelchair provision, help with housing, walking stick, help with advocacy and getting jobs etc)
  • Education for the less privileged, women etc., via workshop on healthy low-cost eating.
  • To improve standard of living and help implement WASH as integrated package (water, sanitation, and hygiene), via boreholes for people who residef in socioeconomically deprived settings.
  • To address food and nutrition insecurity.
  • To implement Global agenda of SDG2 in Nigeria, ‘’eliminate hunger and end all forms of malnutrition…’’ by 2030.
  • Health and nutrition workers to provide nutrition counseling (activities).
